Introduction
In this project, we had to identify a structural, functual, or visual problem with our product. We decided that the handle to our drafting compass could be improved. In this project, we first filled out a design brief template and then used that information in our final design brief. Next, we developed four possible solutions using group brainstorming and used a decision matrix to choose the best design. Finally, we produced this new design in Autodesk Inventor.

In using the decision matrix, the idea that we chose to produce in Inventor was:
Idea 1- Rubber Grip
The reason that we chose this idea is because it doesn't involve as many changes to the design as the other ideas. It still follows the constraints because it uses a new material (rubber), doesn't constict the movement of other parts, is lower cost, and can be completed in the one alloted week. Additionally, it provides a much improved grip that will make this product easier to use.
